Stepping Stone Program

A residential therapeutic community

The Stepping Stone Program was established to meet the needs of youth and adults ages 16+. Residents are offered safe, secure, and stable housing for up to 18 months. While staying in the program, residents receive individualized Success Coaching, life skills training, career and employment readiness, financial education, and access to educational opportunities. Each resident creates a self-directed Life Playbook that identifies their goals and provides a clear path toward achieving them. Through accountability, guidance, and hands-on support, the Stepping Stone Program helps residents gain the knowledge, courage, confidence, and skills needed to transition into permanent housing, independent living, and long-term success.

This program provides services for youth and adults ages 16+, including veterans, individuals experiencing displacement or unhoused, those navigating recovery from addiction, individuals transitioning from foster care, and those rebuilding their lives after involvement with the criminal justice system.

All potential residents participate in an intake interview so we can learn more about their needs, goals, and current situation. This process helps determine whether the Stepping Stone Housing Program is the right fit and can provide the support needed to help each resident move toward stability, independence, and long-term success.

We currently operates two homes in North Carolina, with locations in Knightdale and Wilson.
